March 09 2020

The revised 2020 BIQSFP Guidelines and supporting information including revised Checklists, Evaluation Templates, and FAQs can be found on the updated BIQSFP website

The major changes for 2020 are noted below and on page 1 and 2 of the Guidelines:

  1. Submission of NRT INTEGRATED studies has been modified
  2. Non-randomized NCTN treatment trials with an integral study are eligible for BIQSFP funding.
  3. Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) studies are no longer eligible tor BIQSFP funding. (NCI is exploring other mechanisms through which CEA studies may be supported.)
  4. Costs ineligible for BIQSFP funding have been clearly specified

BIQSFP study applications received after March 9, 2020 should use the revised Study Checklists. Internal BIQSFP and NCI Steering Committee evaluations should immediately use the revised Evaluation Templates. Please note the Evaluation Guidelines document has been deleted. The Statistical Evaluation Template should continue to be used by all internal and external statisticians participating in BIQSFP evaluations.
