Committee Charge

NRG Oncology established Imaging Committee to achieve the following aims:

  • to provide expert review and consultative services to disease-site committee investigators who are proposing new clinical trials that include conventional imaging and/or investigational imaging techniques.

For protocols incorporating conventional imaging techniques, the committee reviews the proposed plans for imaging collection and, when appropriate, central review by one of the core labs (with appropriate budgeting). This is a critical service to ensure appropriate imaging quality control, acquisition protocols, and post-processing to yield informative results.

For protocols involving investigational imaging techniques, the committee assists with developing the novel imaging components of the concept as well as to facilitate collaborations with investigators in the pertinent area of imaging research from ECOG/ACRIN. The committee consists of experts in radiology, nuclear medicine, and medical physics and interface with the disease-site committees via imaging liaisons.

Radiologist, Radiation oncologists and medical physicists collaborate and provide the documents and tools listed on this webpage.
