NRG Oncology seeks to fill the position of Chair, NRG Oncology Canadian Members Subcommittee

December 15 2023

NRG Oncology is seeking nominations for the position of Chair, NRG Oncology Canadian Members Subcommittee. This subcommittee is part of the NRG Oncology Membership Committee and seeks to support the success of Canadian members in their participation within NRG Oncology and across both the National Clinical Trials Network and the National Community Oncology Research Program.

The Canadian Members Subcommittee is a forum for working through barriers to participation specific to Canadian members. This forum allows NRG to work with and support the engagement of diverse and engaged Canadian members through understanding and addressing the sometimes unique regulatory, administrative, or other barriers to accrual specific to this community.

Interested applicants from Canadian member institutions are encouraged to apply by submitting a letter of interest and CV to committee-nominations@nrgoncology.org by January 15, 2024. The letter of interest should describe participation in NRG Oncology to date and briefly describe the applicant’s thoughts on Canadian member engagement in NRG Oncology. The selected applicant will be provided funding to attend the twice-annual NRG Oncology meetings.

The Subcommittee Chair is expected to convene Canadian Members meetings on a regular schedule and report out on those efforts to the NRG Membership Committee.

Questions related to this may be submitted to committee-nominations@nrgoncology.org.
