To recognize emerging community-focused researchers within NCORP who demonstrate strong early-career engagement with NRG Oncology trials and show promise as future leaders in community oncology research. Self-nominations accepted.
Awardee(s) will:
Present their research or trial innovation at the NRG Oncology Town Hall on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the NRG Oncology Summer Meeting in Denver.
Eligibility Criteria
Early-Career Status
Investigators must meet NCORP/NRG Oncology criteria for a young investigator (e.g., within 12 years of completing terminal degree, MD, PhD, DNP, etc)
Active Engagement in NRG Oncology
Demonstrated involvement in NRG Oncology activities appropriate to early-career investigators, such as:
Working group participation
Committee involvement
Attendance at NRG educational or mentorship sessions
Contributions to protocols/concepts
Clinical Trial Participation (must meet at least one of the following criteria)
Must have opened and/or accrued to at least 2 NRG NCORP trials within the past 24 months, showing meaningful participation relative to career stage. And/Or
Must have chaired or co-chaired a NRG NCORP protocol including PRO or QOL co-chair of a treatment trial.
Commitment to Community-Based Research
Demonstrated interest in advancing oncology research within the community setting.
Engagement with underserved or rural patient populations is encouraged.

A one-page summary based on the investigator’s work with NRG NCORP is required.
CV is required
If the member is citing committee or working group participation, must have a letter of support from committee or working group chair.
