The NRG Oncology Winter meeting is fast approaching! The Protocol Support Committee (PSC) has been working hard to put together a day full of programming specifically for our clinical trial nurse (CTN), clinical research associate (CRA) and all other clinical research professional (CRP) members. We are excited to share a sneak peek of what to expect at the 2026 NRG Oncology Winter Meeting in San Francisco:
Don’t miss the Nurse/Clinical Research Professional Continuing Education Session on Thursday, January 22, 2025 (7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PST)! This full-day event features dynamic morning, afternoon, and early evening sessions packed with valuable updates, insights, and practical takeaways for both new research staff and our experienced NRG Oncology members.
The morning session (7:30 am PST- 12:15 pm PST) will highlight key updates across NRG Oncology, including AE/SAE reporting, CTSU procedures and support services, trends in NCI Quality Assurance Audits, alongside updates from the NRG Oncology Protocol Support Committee and Mentorship Program. We’ll also explore strategies to optimize patient wellness through nutrition, detoxification, emotional support, and exercise as we highlight two presentations: Functional Medicine and Moving Through Cancer. This program will be offered for in-person and virtual attendance.
Following the morning session and a break for lunch, in-person attendees are invited to join our PSC Discuss With Us- LIVE version (1:30 pm – 3:15 pm PST) afternoon session. Led by PSC E&T Vice-Chairs, Marissa Weiss and Jackie Ludwig, this interactive forum offers a chance to connect with fellow research professionals and dive into real-world research challenges and discuss creative strategies.
We’ll wrap up the PSC programming with our engaging Protocol Spotlight Session (3:30 pm PST – 5:00 pm PST). This lively session invites attendees to take a closer look at three key NRG trials—NRG-CC014, NRG-HN014, and NRG-GU015—with presentations from leading investigators. It’s an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of protocol aims, eligibility, and implementation, while getting your questions answered directly by the experts. This program will be offered for in-person and virtual attendance.
All PSC sessions have been submitted for Nursing Contact Hours through the Virginia Nurses Association. Whether you’re joining us in San Francisco or logging in virtually, the PSC programming promises to be an informative, interactive, and inspiring part of your NRG experience. We can’t wait to see you in January!
