NCI Proton Letter for NRG Sites to Send to Patients’ Insurance Carrier

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has issued a letter regarding patients with cancer being denied insurance coverage for proton therapy. The letter urges NRG Oncology sites to send this letter to the patient’s insurance carrier for proton therapy coverage.

Additionally, the letter is posted to the CTSU website for applicable studies using proton therapy. The document is located under the protocol’s  “Supplemental Documents” tab.
