Surgical Oncology Committee

Purpose

The NRG Oncology Surgical Oncology Committee represents one of seven scientific core site committees within the organization. The Scientific Core Committees serve as shared resources of expertise enabling Disease Site Committees and Non-Disease Specific Scientific Committees to develop, conduct, monitor, and report results of clinical trials and translational science projects aimed at improving outcomes (survival and quality of life) for cancer patients. The scientific core committees assist in protocol development, provide special expertise relevant broadly to the scientific agenda of NRG Oncology irrespective of tumor type, and provide quality control of clinical trials and translational science projects.
