NRG Oncology seeks to support robust participation in our semiannual meetings through the provision of travel support. Current priorities for travel awards include young investigators, study chairs and engaged study champions, active committee members, member institution PI’s, and clinical research professionals who are actively engaged with NRG Oncology committees. Our partnering foundations, RTOG Foundation, NSABP Foundation, and GOG Foundation may also consider supporting requests through this mechanism. If you have any questions about the travel award process, please contact meeting-reg@nrgoncology.org.

through the provision of a travel award. Current priorities for this travel
award include members of the Early Career & New Investigators Committee and

In
2019, NRG Oncology received a generous gift from Mitchell Machtay, MD, Deputy
Group Chair for Research and Chief Scientific Officer. This important and
generous gift supplements the existing NRG Travel Award Program, funding the
travel of one young investigator from an NRG Member Institution to the NRG
Oncology semiannual meeting. A longtime member of RTOG Foundation and
Deputy Group Chair for NRG Oncology since its inception, Dr. Machtay has
been a staunch advocate for young investigators and for NRG overall. The award
will support up to $1,500 in meeting related expenses such as coach airfare,
transportation to/from the hotel, meals, and two hotel nights.
Named travel awards are possible as a minimum $20,000 gift; you may also contribute toward an existing award in honor of its founder. Donations can be made at https://nrgoncology.org/Support-NRG. If you wish to donate to a specific program please make note in the comments section.
