The NRG Oncology Protocol Development (PD) department gathered in Philadelphia, PA on January 24
th for the first Protocol Development retreat. PD staff members, with the help of operations, statistics, data management, and leadership staff members, discussed and assessed NRG Oncology’s current practices during the retreat. The team also reviewed what parts of NRG Oncology’s protocol process works well and what areas have opportunity for improvement. The agenda for the retreat was centered on the review of the NRG Oncology protocol process from concept through activation, the NRG Oncology protocol template, and the National Cancer Institute’s timeline requirements. NRG Oncology looks forward to implementing changes from the retreat that help improve our trial development processes.
